Wow. Crafted to deliver a pleasing read-through as usual.
I'm moved to believe people often deviate from engaging notes as this 'cause they hold in mind; contents propounded within causes humans to deviate from basic functions. Mostly, introspection. From deliberate speeches to automated responses.
From the advanced insights offered by this book, what can you say about this perception? Should we willingly embrace AI and accept it's "impeding" advancement?
'From deliberate speeches to automated responses'.
For anyone who is mindful about his conversations with people, will find the thought put forth in the quoted statement above--which is already a reality--worrisome.
Thank you responding, Nannim. AI on the surface level, considered more appropriately as "Narrow AI", offers positive assistance. On willingly accepting AI, while disregarding it's negative implications, can be "deadly". This is where we really should be more cautious, especially the government. Lengdung mentioned some strategies that can be adopted to mitigate the ethical issues posed by AI in his work cited in the post.
More deeper than these, are the implications of AI on common human values. Lennox analyses these issues in depth in the last four chapters. Most edifying is that he was able to trace all of these forecasted events to their foreshadows in scripture. And provides a position the reader should consider in the coming years, if the projections for AGIs come about.
Jesus, Lennox considers, as the real "Home deus" (Man+God entity). That which the big names in AI want to bring about, amongst other grandiose projects.
