Dear Fellow,
We are halfway into 2022. Have noticed already? Well, now you know. And this is cheers! for staying on the ride so far. Pat yourself on the back. “You probably do not appreciate yourself enough,” a mindful friend of mine would say. There is so much for you to be thankful for than you give attention to. Be more thankful!
That said, you are welcome to the second quarterly despatch for this year on Random Despatches. This is the series that provides you with a detailed breakdown and summary of the activities in this publication.
Sit tight and let’s roll!
56 New Subscriptions
In the previous quarterly despatch, there were 115 subscribers on Random Despatches. The current count shows 174 subscribers (and still counting). From 26th March to this day, 59 new subscriptions were added. This is remarkable! Slow but steady, we go.
13 Articles Published
This quarter seems to be the longest so far. The previous quarter had only 8 publications. This quarter has a total of 12 articles published. Find the list at the end of the post.
Facebook Page
A subscriber recommended opening a Facebook page for Random Despatches. This move is yielding results. At the time of this writing, the page has 487 likes. The page is where you will find links to the articles published weekly and other amazing contents (like the Milestone Series) that are not published here. Do well to like (and follow) the page, share and mention the page in your posts.
The First Podcast Episode
Here is one big record! The first podcast episode on Random Despatches had the highest engagement, topping all the others in views and engagements. It had a total of 166 views and 137 downloads. Many thanks to Nannim who designed the flyer and Nne Omah who narrated the piece. The podcast episode is a letter which highlights the beauty in the interruptions that attend our everyday lives. “Beautiful Interruptions are unplanned but unforgettable moments in everyday life”. Watch out for your beautiful interruptions every day after you listen: LISTEN.
A Recommendation
Random Despatches has been recommended in two other publications on Substack so far. One is Little Ends, a newsletter for book reviews and all things related. The other is Mackenzie Andersen’s Butterflies and Rocketships, a newsletter covering “the public-private-non-profit-profit wealth concentration and redistribution industrial complex” in the U. S. It matters a lot to be appreciated and recommended. And such a gesture makes you want to keep pushing for better and more. Thank you (yes, you reading this) for the times you applaud, commend, and recommend Random Despatches unannounced. Thank you!
The Wrap
This is the journey so far in this quarter. Expect more and better going forward. Your suggestions, feedback, and comments are welcome in the comment. Perhaps you prefer a more private space, send yours via wungakhatongjal12@gmail.com or via WhatsApp using 09028828362. The following is the list of all the articles published so far. Which do you enjoy the most and would recommend to someone else? Engage and share!
Of Unwritten Principles still tops the content table as the most engaged piece.
See you next week, Fellow! Have a restful weekend and a great week ahead.
